Dear Colleagues,
As we approach the end of the semester, I am delighted to share a few key updates and announcements from the division.
We recently hosted our first Parents and Families webinar, "Transitions and Belonging: Making the Heights Home." This session provided helpful strategies for parents and families to support their students as they navigate change, build independence, and thrive. It was a great partner resource to our Parent and Families website, which also launched this semester.
We also introduced a new initiative: Community Connectors. This is a peer-to-peer mentoring program that connects students who want to get more involved on campus with peers who can help them navigate how to get started on their journey.
In partnership with Campus Ministry, The Church in the 21st Century Center, BC Dining, and more, we offered students free Friendsgiving pie along with conversation cards and reflection prompts to encourage deeper connection and values-based dialogue on faith and gratitude.
Finally, interested in how food connects us? View the article on our Cooking in Conversation program for faculty interested in holding a class over dinner.
As always, if you are interested in collaborating, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
|
Dr. Shawna Cooper Whitehead Vice President for Student Affairs

BC Student Affairs and campus partners brought a slice or two of happiness to students’ Friendsgiving celebrations by offering free apple and pumpkin pies with handouts from the C21 Center and Campus Ministry.
