Dear Parents and Families,
We are thrilled to welcome your student to Boston College! In the Weeks of Welcome ahead, we will introduce students to all the resources and opportunities available to them here on campus.
To keep you informed and connected, I am also pleased to introduce you to Parent Update, a quarterly newsletter that shares news, upcoming programming, and events.
As a parent myself, I know dropping off your student for their first year of college can be an exciting yet overwhelming experience. This edition of Parent Update is dedicated to providing you with information and resources to support your students as they embark on this new chapter.
Highlights include move-in day information, Weeks of Welcome information, and important dates to remember. The Career Center also shares advice on how your student can connect with them throughout their four years at BC.
Finally, be sure to mark your calendar for Family Weekend, Friday, September 27–Sunday, September 29!
All of our departments within Student Affairs are here to assist you and your student from the moment you arrive. See you on campus soon!
Sincerely,
Shawna Cooper Whitehead, Ed.D. Vice President for Student Affairs
