Dear Parents and Families,
We're thrilled to welcome your students to campus and introduce them to new opportunities, programs, and BC traditions.
As a parent myself, I know dropping off your student for their first year of college can be an exciting, yet overwhelming, experience. Therefore, I'm happy to introduce you to our quarterly newsletter, the Parent Update, which shares helpful information for you as your student embarks on their new chapter.
This edition of Parent Update includes Move-In Day FAQs, our recently launched Parent and Families website that introduces you to key Boston College areas across campus, Weeks of Welcome programming, Career Center resources, and more!
We also spotlight our campus partner, The Church in the 21st Century (C21) Center, and a special annual tradition at Boston College, Espresso Your Faith Week.
Be sure to check out our Get Ready section, which provides links to communications including a weekly newsletter that students receive every Monday morning to help them stay engaged in campus life. I also encourage you to listen to our Discover Boston College Podcasts to learn more about Life on the Heights.
Finally, don't forget to mark your calendar for Family Weekend, September 26–28.
Our Student Affairs departments are ready to assist you and your student with anything needed. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
Sincerely,
Shawna Cooper Whitehead, Ed.D. Vice President for Student Affairs
